This tag energetically addresses Lyme Disease. Lyme disease is caused by the corkscrew-shaped bacteria, Borrelia burgdorferi which is a spirochete.
Dogs are most frequently infected with the Lyme disease bacteria,
but infections can also occur in horses, cattle, and cats.

 

The most common sign of Lyme disease in dogs is arthritis, which causes sudden lameness, pain and sometimes swelling in one or more joints. Other signs that may be seen include fever, lack of appetite, dehydration, inactivity, and swollen lymph nodes.

This tick borne illness is more prevalent in upper Midwestern states and the east coast but Lyme Borreliosis has been found in all 50 states.

The symptoms in a dog or cat that has been bitten by an infected tick can occur 2 to 5 months later. 

The Lyme disease tag will also help to slow the progression, and arrest the illness to prevent further affects such as kidney failure.

Tick control is really the most effective action a pet owner can take, and by trying to avoid high tick areas of infestation such as wooded, and high grass areas.

This is a 90 day program but the relief of the symptoms can occur fairly quickly.
It is essential to complete the program as the bacteria can lie dormant, but then symptoms can recur weeks or even months later.

All pets in a tick infested area should wear the Flea and Tick Protector

Application: Attach one Tag to the collar of the Pet using the zipper tie. Tighten it almost up to the collar so that it is near to the body of the Pet. Do not leave it hanging low.

Change the Tag once a week. The packet contains four Tags; one month supply.

If your Pet needs more than one Tag at a time mark the number of the tag on the back using a marker pen, to identify them. Use no more than three different Tags at one time.
